What time is afternoon tea served?

What’s the difference between afternoon tea and high tea?

The afternoon tea ritual started in the 1800s with Anna, the seventh Duchess of Bedford. Meanwhile, the high tea tradition dates back to the late 19th century and was originally served at a ‘high’ table. The main difference is that high tea is a heartier meal than afternoon tea, with high tea including more savoury components, including sausage rolls.
